Parkers summary:
3-Series compromises saloon, Compact sportshatch, coupe, Touring (estate) and convertible models. Perhaps they are not the all-out driver's machines that smaller BMW's once were, but they're sophisticated, superbly engineered and stylishly subtle. Although they have strong rivals in the shape of the Mercedes C-Class and Lexus IS 200, they still leave the competition behind.
