Punto is well built and well equipped but it's depreciates faster than some rivals.

Reliability rating:

Too new to for any serious faults to emerge, but Fiat are not famed for total reliability.

Driving rating:

New rear suspension firms up body control and handling; but brakes lack 'feel'. Light power- assisted steering with 'City' mode - (standard on all models) makes parking almost effortless.

Performance rating:

Punto is well built and well equipped but it's depreciates faster than some rivals.

Comfort rating:

Lumps and potholes upset the otherwise composed chassis.Spacious with superb head- and legroom; supportive seats; steering wheel is reach-adjustable.

Safety rating:

Driver’s airbag, passenger and side airbags optional; HGT has ABS, optional on other models; high 4 star Euro NCAP rating.

Security rating:

Immobiliser on all models; alarm on HGT only; would benefit from more protection.
